Our Holiday Playscheme
We launched our first summer holiday club in July 2012 and by popular demand extended this to provide all half term holidays & 1 week during Easter from Oct 2016. Our holiday clubs are unique in that we always have a detailed programme offering a huge variety of activities based around exciting daily themes. Our activity programmes are organised, prepared and delivered by our friendly team who have specific skills suited to work with children of certain age groups and purpose resourced rooms with age appropriate toys, games and equipment. Children always have access to drinks and are offered a mid morning and mid afternoon snack, but need to bring a packed lunch, if they are with us all day and suitable outdoor clothing.
Our playschemes have become very popular with both parents & children and although our numbers have increased over the years we still manage to provide a homely, safe and secure setting that values, welcomes and includes all children. Children generally choose to come to us because they want to do something that is exciting, different from the norm and learn something new. Popular theme days have included, electronics making solar powered cars/boat, building star wars robots etc Wacky Science experiments, making magnetic slime. Our ethos is if it can be done, we will do it! We also invite special guests and organisations to share knowledge and skills to compliment what we provide. These have recently included, Micheal from Animal Care with a puppy & educational workshop during our caring for pets and animals day, Little Zoo for You with animals & mini beasts, EDF energy with electronic circuits and kits and Melissa bringing her expert skills in Street Dancing. We also provide a full day trip during the last week of the summer playscheme, where we all enjoy an exciting day out.
Detailed programmes are currently forwarded to our families via post, however form January 2020 parents will be able to view programmes, spaces and book and pay for childcare sessions using our new IPAL club management system. This will also compliment safety & security, bringing an electronic sign in & out process, improve communication systems with parents as well as us easily being able to identify children with specific needs and requirements on a daily basis. All of our detailed group planning is always available to view in each room throughout every holiday club.
